<image:caption>We’ve put these insights into practice by designing and facilitating intimate, invite-only workshops centered around human needs within fashion production, a crucial yet often missing perspective in such a complex system. Our most recent initiative was an innovation workshop during Fashion Revolution Week that brought 20 local apparel stakeholders together in a safe, mutually respectful environment to build empathy, reframe challenges, and facilitate community and collaboration going forward. The industry was well-represented with farmers, mill owners, factory managers, brand CEOs, and NGO representatives who all left with new ways of thinking about solving industry challenges as well as potential partners to join in their efforts. Attendees reported inspirational breakthrough moments, and all respondents would recommend our event to others.</image:caption>

<image:caption>How our reasearch influences our design process is what makes this project unique. We want to comply with the certain talent, skills and materials of the region. We want to design being sensitive to the area producing the products. We work with our partners to see their strengths and passions, we see what they are most comfortable working with and what makes them feel most proud and excited. Then we can begin to design. By trying to connect consumers to their products with facts and stories, we hope to close the gap between consumers and their textiles and challenge the impersonal transactions of industrialized products that are the norm today</image:caption>

<image:title>Industry - Cotton INC. Collection</image:title>
<image:caption>The Print Design uses frenetic textural prints which seek to incorporate accidental mishaps to conceal wear. This creates a low wash mentality, therefore saving water and energy and lengthening the lifespan of the garment. By embracing the natural colors of cotton, the bleaching process is eliminated, adding an extra sustainable edge. The duality of front and back printing, coupled with subtle and more intense sides, allows for double usage and possibility of each garment. The garment design is engineered to allow different forms as dictated by the needs and desires of the wearer. Each garment can change with a simple snap or tie, which minimizes space consumption. By taking agency in how the garment is worn and used, it requires the wearer to become critical part of the creative process. The multitude of options and ability to tailor the garment to changing moods engages a stronger connection between human and object. As a one-size-fits-all design, the longevity of the garment is enhanced, it can easily be shared, and will also continue to function throughout the fluctuating weight and size of its owner. Improved street labels will eventually lead to more coverage of addresses, both connecting the invisible population to the world, and increasing their contribution to humanity in developing countries. Connecting the unconnected should increase economic, juridical, and life-sustaining involvement of people all around the world. <image:caption>unspun’s mission is to reduce global carbon emissions by 1% by revolutionizing the way we make clothes. We envision a world where every garment is made on-demand, eliminating overproduction and reconnecting people with the clothing they wear. We first launched our custom denim line to perfect our custom-fit algorithm and prove that our on-demand vision works. Next, we developed a 3D weaving technology, Vega™, that weaves yarns into garments in minutes, allowing for (almost) zero-waste, on-demand manufacturing. I have led the product and helped build an incredible multidisciplinary team from pre-seed to series B.</image:caption>

<image:title>Future of Purchases - Summary</image:title>
<image:caption>Through an interactive store experience, emotions will be sold, instead of objects. This store questions our consumer tendencies by exploring the expectations and desires that underlie our purchases. Emotions gathered from other consumers through EEG scans, will be sold and transferred to the purchaser for an affordable price.</image:caption>

<image:title>Future of Purchases - Product</image:title>
<image:caption>Complex desires and months of research reduced into an understandable and transferable product, ready for purchase. Sentences were taken from recorded conversations with participants, and accompanied by their brain data in the form of a temporary marking.</image:caption>
</image:image>

<image:title>Future of Purchases - Background & Data</image:title>
<image:caption>A structure and set of rules was created in order to gather the recordings and create data. The recordings were taken in the participant's home, specifically in the room where they get ready each day. This is the area where people choose what clothes they want to wear, either by knowing what they trying to achieve before going to the closet, or where they go to the closet to help trigger or inspire decisions of what to wear. The EEGs were collected here, while they wore the garment of their choice. After scanning participants spoke uninterrupted about what they were thinking about and how that garment makes them feel. This was reduced into a simple text explanation and simple visuals.</image:caption>

<image:title>Future of Purchases - Customer Service</image:title>
<image:caption>After purchasing an emotion via debit/credit card, the purchaser will participate in a guided transfer. There is a hired “specialist” that will be completing the transaction. The specialist will be talking the buyer through a meditative transfer process. They will then be instructed to open their eyes and the transfer is complete.</image:caption>

<image:title>Future of Purchases (Copy) - Customer Service</image:title>
<image:caption>After purchasing an emotion via debit/credit card, the purchaser will participate in a guided transfer. There is a hired “specialist” that will be completing the transaction. The specialist will be talking the buyer through a meditative transfer process. They will then be instructed to open their eyes and the transfer is complete.</image:caption>

<image:title>Future of Purchases (Copy) - Summary</image:title>
<image:caption>Through an interactive store experience, emotions will be sold, instead of objects. This store questions our consumer tendencies by exploring the expectations and desires that underlie our purchases. Emotions gathered from other consumers through EEG scans, will be sold and transferred to the purchaser for an affordable price.</image:caption>

<image:title>Future of Purchases (Copy) - Product</image:title>
<image:caption>Complex desires and months of research reduced into an understandable and transferable product, ready for purchase. Sentences were taken from recorded conversations with participants, and accompanied by their brain data in the form of a temporary marking.</image:caption>

<image:title>Future of Purchases (Copy) - Background & Data</image:title>
